Orefield is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Orefield follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. I love shopping here. They sell only native plants, so you don't have to doubt what you're buying. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The signage for the plants is excellent, giving the name, the size, and the conditions with which the plants will grow best. It's always a very positive experience.

Superb selection of native plants from local eco types to ones found a bit outside of our range. They sell perennial plugs too for a very fair price. Every plant has a descriptive tag which is great for those who may not be familiar with all of the plants. Very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Their online site is also a gem full of native plant info. EOTW is a diamond in the rough well worth the hour long drive for me!

I love this nursery! After learning more in the past few years about native and invasive/non-native plants, I started incorporating more natives into my landscaping and gardening. Planting natives attracts native insects and pollinators, as well as birds and other wildlife (birds gotta feed their babies caterpillars!). Edge of the Woods not only has knowledgeable and helpful staff, but an amazing assortment of native wildflowers, trees, shrubs and grasses. In my most recent visit, I was thrilled to see them offering plugs for $6 - I prefer to plant plugs. They are small, easy to place (not a lot of digging), and you have to exercise patience while they grow, typically takes 2-3 years for them to come into full mature size. The perennials in larger sizes are very reasonably priced as well ($12-15). If you want to host more birds and wildlife in your yard, stop in - they're happy to help you find the right plants for your garden location, and they can even provide landscaping design.

Edge of the Woods is a fantastic native plant nurseryβ€”our first visit was rad. The staff is knowledgeable and genuinely helpful. We picked up common milkweed (I couldn’t find anywhere else), false sunflowers, echinacea and a few specialty plants we’re really excited about. Everything was healthy and well cared for. It’s clear they take pride in what they do. We’ll definitely be back.

I absolutely loved the experience with Sue and the gang. They came to my house took pictures of my garden before, listened to what I wanted and really helped me through everything. Sue took me around the nursery where the plants are full grown so you could tell what you were purchasing and everything in its natural habitat. Sue and the team were on time and communicative with install. I love my after results! They even protected the new plants with rabbit repellant.
